In the spring of 2005, I worked on a photo project with my dearest friends from high school. It was my final project for what was the very, very beginning of my long love affair with cameras and stories and in many ways I feel like it remains one of the most pure examples of my vision for the world. This song has since proved prophetic and our lives have been long, strange dances with the wavering ideals of adulthood, love and certainty. These ladies remain my best friends to this day and I still would not hesitate to "drown the urge for permanence and certainty// crouch down and scrawl my name with yours in wet cement."
